It’s summertime in Michigan, and as we enjoy the season, we wanted to reflect on the fun community events that brought us joy this past spring.
Tulip Time Parade in Holland
In early May, we participated in the Tulip Time KinderParade in Holland. Our participants always look forward to this. They’re able to find connection to their Dutch heritage and celebrate the spring season. Although spring lived up to its rainy reputation, we didn’t let that ruin our celebration. We were decked out in our custom-designed t-shirts and looking snazzy as we traveled down Main Street on our float.
PACE Day at the Capitol
PACE Association of Michigan hosted a day devoted to PACE services at the Capitol in Lansing. Many LifeCircles participants and staff members traveled to Lansing to support and advocate for Michigan seniors who can benefit from PACE services. PACE teams specialize in therapy to regain mobility, reconnect participants to social support groups, and stay on top of clients’ changing health. We were grateful to our legislators for hearing our stories and honoring the passionate work of PACE employees across Michigan. We thank our community for reinforcing our belief that individuals should be allowed to receive support in the comfort of their own homes rather than relocate entirely.
PRIDE Festivals
LifeCircles hit the streets of Muskegon and Holland for their annual Pride Festivals this June. LifeCircles is dedicated to building an inclusive, safe, and most importantly fun environment. The LifeCircles team had a fantastic time celebrating love, diversity, and inclusion with our community. Regardless of the heat, we had a passionate group of attendees and the smiles were contagious. We are thankful for everyone who visited our booth, shared their stories, and made the celebrations unforgettable.
Juneteenth Parade
Our LifeCircles Muskegon team ventured over to Muskegon for the Juneteenth Parade, hosted by Taking Back Muskegon. LifeCircles PACE participants were able hitch a ride on the LifeCircles bus and celebrate the day. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped us make this event unforgettable. We love our community and are appreciative of the chance to honor Juneteenth with all of you.
News/Updates:
We are pleased to announce the upcoming expansion of LifeCircles in Holland. We’ve partnered with Van Eck Construction Inc. for this exciting endeavor, which includes a new therapy gym and person-centered care spaces.
The therapy gym will connect to a wellness gym with a moveable wall, making it versatile for larger groups and specialized care sessions. The personal-centered care spaces will allow personalized care between our recreational and occupational therapy teams.
This expansion will allow us to provide more support, resources, and community for our seniors and will be open at the end of fall 2024.
These spring events brought our community together as the LifeCircles participants bloomed this spring. As summer continues, we look forward to creating even more memorable moments, supporting each other, and celebrating diversity. Thank you for joining us, and we can’t wait to create meaningful connections and unforgettable memories together.
