LifeCircles participants recently enjoyed reminiscing with special guests from Community Choice Credit Union. Seven members of Community Choice Credit Union from Holland, Muskegon and Farmington Hills devoted an afternoon to capturing stories of participants at the Holland Center for older adults. This special day kicked off the beginning of a book project that will highlight the unique life stories of participants in the program. The project spun out of a request by the LifeCircles Participant Council to celebrate and share the diverse experiences that the program’s elders have lived.
Community Choice Credit Union collaborated with LifeCircles as a way to give back to the community. Community Choice Credit Union is devoted to the Community with their Give Big Initiative, especially during the month with over 3000 volunteer hours from their 300 employees. It was well received by both LifeCircles Participants and volunteers. “We had a fantastic time and would love to do it again! We all walked away talking about the interesting stories of the older adults we met,” said Rebecca Lamper, of Community Choice Credit Union.
LifeCircles PACE is in its second year serving older adults in Ottawa and Allegan counties. LifeCircles believes that living at home matters, and helps older adults continue to do that by offering customized medical and social support to individuals and their families.
